TOY FACTORY PROJECT

Southern rock supergroup Toy Factory Project was formed by the original Marshall Tucker Band drummer Paul Riddle to honor the legacy and songs of MTB co-founder Toy Caldwell. In addition to Paul Riddle and Oteil, the band is composed of singer/guitarists Marcus King and Charlie Starr of Blackberry Smoke, keyboardist Josh Shilling. Live the band is joined by violinist Billy Contreras and percussionist Jimmy Rector. Toy Factory Project is set to release their first album in 2026.

OTEIL & FRIENDS

Oteil's original touring group, consisting of rotating cast of all-star musicians, including: Melvin Seals, Jason Crosby, Lamar Williams Jr., Johnny Morgan Kimock, Steve Kimock, Tom Guarna, Eric Krasno, Jay Lane, Jaden Lehman, Peter Lavezzoli, JR & many more.

DEAD & COMPANY

Grateful Dead members Bob Weir, Bill Kreutzmann and Mickey Hart joined forces with Grammy-winning singer/guitarist John Mayer, Grammy-winning bassist Oteil Burbridge and Jeff Chimenti to form the band Dead & Company in 2015. Over a decade, Dead & Company completed ten US tours, performing to over four million fans across 235 shows. Dead & Company headlined iconic stadiums across the country including Folsom Field, Oracle Park, Citi Field, Fenway Park and Dodger Stadium and broke Wrigley Field's all-time concert attendance record. Additionally Dead & Company was one of the first bands to play the Sphere in Las Vegas, completing two residencies there in 2024 and 2025.


THE ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND

Oteil joined the Allman Brothers Band in June 1997 and is  the longest running bassist in the band's 43 year history. He  recorded three albums and one DVD and was nominated for two Grammys during his tenure in the band. He was honored to receive a Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (NARAS) the 54th annual Grammy Awards in 2012 for his participation in the ABB.

TEDESCHI TRUCKS BAND

Oteil was a founding member of the Tedeschi Trucks Band which was conceived in 2010. The band has toured internationally, released two cd's, one of which has already won a Grammy for Best Contemporary Blues Artist in 2012.

OTEIL & THE PEACEMAKERS

Oteil & the Peacemakers was Oteil's first solo project. He released his first solo album in 1998. He followed with two more albums and toured heavily with the group until 2007.

COL BRUCE AND THE AQUARIUM RESCUE UNIT

Oteil met Col. Bruce Hampton in 1998 while he was living in Atlanta and was a founding member of the Aquarium Rescue Unit with Jeff (Apt. Q258) Sipe, Jimmy Herring, and Matt Mundy. ARU recorded two albums and played countless tour dates including the HORDE tours featuring Phish, Widespread Panic, Blues Traveler, and Bela Fleck and the Flecktones.

In 2008 Oteil was called by Mike Gordon to take his place in a trio he had formed with Bill Kreutzmann of the Grateful Dead and Scott Murawski of Max Creek. They toured in '08 and '09. They reunited in 2012 in Costa rica at Jungle Jam and hope to do an album and do some tour dates in the near future.

VIDA BLUE

In 2001 Oteil was called by Page McConnell (of Phish fame) to start a trio with Russell Batiste on drums. The band toured from 2001-2004 and recorded two albums and a DVD recorded live at the Fillmore West.
